The hot start to the water year out west continues! The latest system that has pushed onshore is bringing some additional snow to the northern Sierra Nevada Mountains. After multiple systems over the past weeks, the snowpack is already above average in all but the central Sierras.

Another few inches will add to what has already fallen out west, which could lead to some slick roadways overnight. Winter Weather Advisories will last until early Tuesday morning.

Although the precipitation is winding down overnight, there could still be a few bursts of heavier rain or snow at times.

The Mount Shasta area will receive the most snowfall into Tuesday morning.
