Flood alerts are already in place for cities like Jackson and Nashville and more alerts will likely be added throughout the day.
Forecast
Waves of showers and thunderstorms will cross the Mississippi and Tennessee River Valleys through Friday. We can't rule out some
isolated severe storms as well.
Rainfall Potential
Our latest forecast model is showing a sold line of 3-6 inches of rainfall from Southwest Louisiana to Eastern Tennessee. This is a huge amount of rain, so not only will it create flash flooding, but it will also contribute to rising streams, creeks and rivers in these areas.
