Latest Snow Winding Down in the Northeast

After record warmth late last week, a cold front brought wintry weather to the Northeast over the weekend. Snowfall continues through Monday morning with a few winter weather alerts remaining in effect for parts of the Northeast to account for the possibility of light snow accumulation.

Some areas have picked up close to a foot of snow out of this latest round of winter weather!

There will be some slick travel on some of the major interstates in New England including portions of I-90 and I-95. The low will move away from the coast Monday morning ending the precipitation from west to east. A few lingering showers may be possible for the Cape and Islands today.

Additional snowfall amounts will only tack on another inch or two before this system moves offshore. Temperatures will take a step back behind this system. Expect highs to hover around and slightly above the freezing mark for some.
