Rob grew up in South Florida, where daily afternoon storms and hurricanes piqued his interest in meteorology early on. That interest was fostered by his teachers and his father, who one time brought him onto the roof of their home to watch a funnel cloud move through the Everglades several miles away. Years of filmmaking and tv production in high school gradually pushed him toward broadcast meteorology at Florida State University, where he joined and eventually led the student run daily weather show. After graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Meteorology, he began his career at KESQ in Palm Springs, California before heading to KFSN in Fresno and WLOS in Asheville, North Carolina. He has covered a diverse array of extreme weather events, including haboobs and flash flooding in the desert, extreme snow in the Sierra, hurricanes, and Appalachian ice storms. He also enjoys telling stories and reporting about weather issues.

A cut-off low-pressure system has been slowly moving onshore from the Pacific in California, sending rounds of showers and thunderstorms into the Four Corners and Great Basin. Wednesday, the same area of low pressure resulted in a few strong to severe storms in the Phoenix metro. Interstates could be impacted, especially I-17 but I-40 and I-10 could see impacts as well.<img src="https://media.weathernationtv.com/app/uploads/2025/11/Screenshot 2025-11-19 150304-1763589794504.png">As another system brings moisture back to the region to end the week, additional flooding (as well as thunderstorms and snow) will be expected.<img src="https://media.weathernationtv.com/app/uploads/2025/11/Screenshot 2025-11-19 062406-1763558749439.png">The Weather Prediction Center is highlighting isolated flash flooding threats through the end of the week. Additional outlooks may be needed for Saturday.<img src="https://media.weathernationtv.com/app/uploads/2025/11/Screenshot 2025-11-19 150308-1763589800938.png"><h2>Forecast</h2>Scattered heavy downpours will continue to shift slowly east on Wednesday, with heavy rain sticking around AZ and UT for much of the day. Wednesday night into Thursday will see the heaviest precipitation shifting into NM and CO as the low heads into the Great Plains. Rain will stack along the Front Range of Colorado Thursday into Friday, with heavy mountain snow expected. Rain totals through Saturday could easily top an inch or two in many locations, sometimes coming down very quickly.<img src="https://media.weathernationtv.com/app/uploads/2025/11/Screenshot 2025-11-19 150416-1763589893134.png"><h2>Snow</h2>The mountains around the Four Corners can expect a healthy round of snow with the back-to-back lows through the end of the week. 6-12 inches or more can be expected on the highest summits. The snow has prompted winter weather advisories for portions of CO and NM.<img src="https://media.weathernationtv.com/app/uploads/2025/11/1-1763606403623.png">Will Denver record their first snow of the season with this system? It looks too warm for the Front Range, but it can't be completely ruled out. Four Corners Expecting More Flooding Rain, Mountain Snow

Originally born in Spokane, Washington,  Jackie's Dad was in the Air Force which led her to a life of travel. She has lived in Wichita, Okinawa, Japan, Baltimore, New Jersey, Indiana and South Carolina.  After graduating from Kadena High School, in Okinawa Japan, she got a full basketball scholarship to Coppin State College. On the court she was a 4-year starter and reached over 1000 points in her basketball career. She was also named Athlete of the Year for the whole university in 2002. Off the court, she earned a degree in Broadcast Production/English.

After college, she landed a job as a radio personality. Jackie went on to have a successful career for 12 years working at KXLY broadcast center. While on the radio, she decided to change career. Jackie went back to school, graduating from the Mississippi State Meteorology Broadcast Program. From snow, to tornadoes, to hurricanes, she has had experience forecasting all these events.

Another November day in the south and another day of more record warmth! The high-pressure system bringing the record temperatures is sliding east and will stick around through the weekend.<img src="https://media.weathernationtv.com/app/uploads/2025/11/1-1763604300006.png"><img src="https://media.weathernationtv.com/app/uploads/2025/11/2-1763604305676.png">.<h1>Southern Plains</h1>Although Texas is no stranger to heat, temperatures are still feeling more like summer, with some locales reaching high temperatures 15-20°+ above average! There will be a shift in the pattern, as some cities, including Oklahoma City, will see the temperatures drop to the 60s on Thursday.<img src="https://media.weathernationtv.com/app/uploads/2025/11/Screenshot 2025-11-19 125239-1763581967532.png"><h1>Southeast</h1>As the ridge migrates further east later this week, places like Tennessee and North Carolina will get a bump to their afternoon highs. Alana Cameron was born and raised in Canada in the city of Mississauga, just outside of Toronto. Alana is the oldest of 4 siblings, all close in age, and grew up playing outside with them in all types of weather. After graduating high school, Alana moved to study at the University of British Columbia in Kelowna for a year before transferring to Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia where she completed a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Atmospheric Science. Upon completion, Alana moved back to Toronto where she completed a post-grad degree in Meteorology at York University. After her post-grad, she went on to complete another post-grad in Broadcast Journalism - TV News at Fanshawe College in London, Ontario. During her final year of studies she had the privilege of interning with the best in the business in Canada at The Weather Network. Once she finished her internship, she got the call from small-town Denison, Texas where she accepted a job as an on-air meteorologist at KTEN-TV, right in tornado alley, covering severe weather from Sherman/Denison (North Texas) to Ada (Southern Oklahoma). After the most active tornado season Oklahoma had seen in May 2019 (105 tornadoes!) Alana is excited to join WeatherNation to cover weather all across the nation. WEST - After heavy rain, heavy snow, and strong winds over the last few days, another Pacific Trough will be moving onshore tonight. Our forecast models show rain and snow across portions of the West Coast through tonight. The low will move south and spin in Southern California Thursday through Saturday, producing pockets of heavy rain.<video src="https://media.weathernationtv.com/app/uploads/2025/11/wesssr-1763604394388.mp4" controls="true" width="100%"></video>The higher elevations will get additional snow with more rain accumulations for the lower elevations.<img src="https://media.weathernationtv.com/app/uploads/2025/11/Screenshot 2025-11-19 150158-1763589733540.png">Southern California could see several inches of heavy rainfall, which may lead to a flooding risk, especially because we have had a lot of recent rainfall. The higher elevations can expect up to five to ten with localised amounts of 16 inches of snowfall.<img src="https://media.weathernationtv.com/app/uploads/2025/11/Screenshot 2025-11-19 150202-1763589739190.png">The Weather Prediction Center (WPC) already has a marginal (level 1 out of 4) threat for Southern California to see heavy rainfall and flooding Thursday through Friday.<img src="https://media.weathernationtv.com/app/uploads/2025/11/Screenshot 2025-11-19 125434-1763582351812.png">The National Weather Service has also added winter storm watches for the Riverside County Mountains and San Bernardino County mountains for Thursday through Saturday, with the heaviest snowfall expected Thursday night into Friday morning. <h1>WHAT TO EXPECT </h1>Temperatures have been hot in the south-central U.S., especially in Texas, where record highs have been set over the last few days. Storms have developed in Texas and Oklahoma and will continue through the overnight hours. The rain will last into Thursday evening, with a few isolated storms around on Friday. <video src="https://media.weathernationtv.com/app/uploads/2025/11/TEXS EHVV-1763604101086.mp4" controls="true" width="100%"></video><h1>SEVERE THREAT </h1>The Storm Prediction Center has issued a MARGINAL (level 1 out of 5) risk for severe storms through tonight in portions of West Texas and into the Red River Valley of Oklahoma. The primary concern is large hail, but a few damaging wind gusts can't be ruled out at this point.<img src="https://media.weathernationtv.com/app/uploads/2025/11/Screenshot 2025-11-19 150517-1763589923583.png">The SPC has also issued a MARGINAL (level 1 out of 5) risk for severe weather on Thursday for portions of East Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas as the front moves east.<img src="https://media.weathernationtv.com/app/uploads/2025/11/Screenshot 2025-11-19 150549-1763589985183.png">There are a few things that might hinder the severity of these storms. Questionable timing on the storms could keep them from reaching their full potential. Since storms could hold off until after sunset, the window to tap into the unstable air that builds up during the day could be narrow. One ingredient we know we have plenty of is moisture.<img src="https://media.weathernationtv.com/app/uploads/2025/11/Screenshot 2025-11-19 150644-1763590012349.png">The Weather Prediction Center has also issued excessive rainfall outlooks starting now and continuing through the end of the week. It is that time of year again—when millions of Americans hit the road or the skies to connect with friends and family. AAA is expecting a record number of travelers this year, a number surpassing a record-breaking 2024! However, there will be some better times to do your traveling. A Record Breaking Thanksgiving Travel Week Expected

OHIO RIVER VALLEY - We have had multiple reports of hail across Illinois and Indiana.(above) Bellair, IL, saw 2.50" hail as of Tuesday afternoon. The severe threat remains in place through this Wednesday morning.<h2>Ohio Valley</h2>The SPC has maintained a SLIGHT risk for severe weather along the same warm front across parts of Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee. Most storms should be hail-producers, but an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.<img src="https://media.weathernationtv.com/app/uploads/2025/11/Screenshot 2025-11-18 193324-1763519649318.png">Storms will continue to ride along a low-pressure system through Wednesday morning. Make sure to have multiple ways to get alerts. <h1>OVERNIGHT</h1>Winter weather alerts remain in place for heavy snow in northern Maine, mixed snow and ice from northern New York through New Hampshire, and even lake effect snow warnings for western Pennsylvania. These alerts will remain in place through Monday.<img src="https://media.weathernationtv.com/app/uploads/2025/11/Web1-1763375387255.png">Snow will be possible overnight and into Monday, with a few lake-effect bands possible. Weekend System Brings Snow, Ice, & Storms to the Northeast

Police in Massachusetts warned drivers to clear snow from their vehicles before travelling on March 15 after snow on the roof of a tractor trailer caused it to clip an overpass in Wareham and knock netting into the path of oncoming traffic.

The Bourne Police Department issued the warning as it shared this footage, filmed by Jennifer Bruce Richards. Richards told Storyful she asked her 16-year-old daughter to begin filming as the tractor trailer approached the overpass on Route 25, knowing the thick layer of snow on its roof would likely lead to a dangerous incident.

The video shows the netting falling into the path of Richards’ car, causing her to swerve slightly, while the tractor trailer kept driving. Bourne Police said no one was injured in the incident.
