Snowfall Accumulations for the High Plains and Rockies

The weekend will start with accumulating snows in parts of the High Plains and Rocky Mountains. Winter Storm Warnings have been issued in far northeastern Montana along the Canadian border. Additional winter weather alerts extend southward into the high country of Colorado. Most areas will see 2" to 5" of snowfall, but up to a foot could accumulate in the highest elevations. A storm system is dropping to the south and east from Canada and the Northwest. It will push from Montana and Wyoming this afternoon (Friday) into South Dakota and Colorado Saturday. Snow will quickly spread from areas near the Canadian Border into the Black Hills and Rockies. The system exits the region by Saturday evening. For WeatherNation: Meteorologist Mace Michaels
