Heavy snow has been a theme this season in Utah and Colorado due to repeated rounds of winter weather moving from the West Coast into the Four Corners. Our latest round of winter weather has produced over a foot of snow in Utah's highest peaks. Now, winter storm warnings and winter weather advisories continue into the day on Tuesday as another area of low-pressure system clears the region.
Snow showers will continue in the high country this evening and overnight, clearing from west to east through Nevada, Utah, and finally Colorado during the day on Tuesday. Widespread snowfall totals in the range of 3-6" with locally higher totals in the mountains are anticipated. We will see trouble on I-80, I-70, and I-15. This latest snowfall round brings snow levels down into the SLC metro area and lower valleys.
