Another strong ridge will set up shop out west, bringing the mercury up over the next few days. As this ridge sticks around we can expect temps to be 20 plus degrees above average for some folks!

Temperatures across the southwest will threaten some records over a wide range of locations.

Temps will skyrocket this week as the high-pressure ridges. Salt Lake City, Utah, and Denver, Colorado, will see highs in the low 80s on Friday. Normally, these cities see the low 60s for highs. Vegas will be digging into the 90s, and Phoenix will be in the low 100s!

Temperatures in Phoenix could threaten the century mark by the end of the week—not record-breaking necessarily, but still a touch early!

We'll be tracking these temperatures as they climb throughout the week - make sure to catch the West Regional Forecast at :50 past each hour
