Florida's state nickname is "The Sunshine State" and Sunday was a day filled with clouds and rain. Many will be able to spot more sunshine come Monday, though not everyone will be so lucky. Excessive rainfall risks remain for south Florida for the start of the work week.
Over the last several days some areas have seen 6+" of rainfall. In the next 24 hours, much of that rainfall will be winding down but some areas are still looking ahead to a bit more rain.
W. Palm Beach to Miami will be among the areas to see more rainfall. With the amount of rainfall we have seen, saturated locations will lead to isolated flooding concerns.
Coastal Flood Alerts for king tides remain in place for Monday. Onshore winds along with above normal tides can lead to flooding of low-lying areas along the shore. Do not drive through flooded roadways and abide by all road closures and barricades.
