https://twitter.com/i/status/1123582851490803712 We are just under a month away from the Atlantic Hurricane Season, and we are already watching an area for tropical development. The National Hurricane Center has a low chance for development associated with a trough of low pressure in the northwestern Bahamas. The system will continue to progress northwest and scoot along the Florida coast, and regardless of any development will bring heavy rain and elevated surf for parts of the Bahamas and the east coast of Florida in the coming days. Stay with WeatherNation for the latest tropical updates and always be prepared as hurricane season remains weeks away. For WeatherNation, I'm Meteorologist Meredith Garofalo
