Avalanche in Lee Canyon: Those Reported Missing Are Safe

UPDATE: LVMPD stated, "Four people were initially reported missing. Everyone has been located and is safe. We are currently assisting people off the mountain."

An avalanche has been reported in Clark County Nevada Monday outside of Las Vegas in the area of Mount Charleston. The public is urged to avoid travel until weather conditions improve. Search and rescue is stated to be in progress by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Avalanche Warnings remain in place for the ongoing snowfall in California and Nevada through Tuesday morning.
