Heavy Snow in the California Mountains

Additional snowfall is expected in the southern Sierra Nevada and throughout the mountains of Southern California. Some lucky mountain tops could pile on an additional 1-2' of snow by Wednesday night. This sight out of Soda Springs, along Donner Pass, is one that most places in the Sierra look similar to.

Many mountain peaks in the central and northern Sierra have already seen 2-3' of snow! Mammoth and June Mountain have seen over 3' of snow, so far.

Snow reports coming out of Southern California are starting to pile up! Mountain High in Wrightwood reported 2.5' of snow and Mount Baldy has seen 2', so far!

Hopefully, the snowbirds of Southern California are excited to see some fresh snow at ski resorts like Mountain High and Bear Mountain.
