A powerful winter storm has swept through the northern U.S. over the last couple of days. As Thanksgiving travelers head home Sunday, ongoing disruptions may be possible.

This system has brought record snowfall to the Midwest. Cities like Chicago, IL not only broke the record for daily snowfall on Saturday, but the date is also the snowiest November on record.

Snow totals for Iowa exceeded a foot in many locations.
