Severe storms have been numerous this week, and the severe threat continues. As we look ahead, storms are expected to push south and east over the next day or two, bringing some slightly different areas into the fold.
The Storm Prediction Center has downgraded the overnight risk for severe weather to SLIGHT, a level 2 out of 5 threat, for portions of west Texas.

Large hail looks to be the primary threat. Some hailstones could grow in excess of 2" in diameter again.
Isolated tornadoes will be possible. This includes cities like San Antonio, Austin, Houston, and Jackson.
Overnight, storms will push to the east along the frontal boundary, where a severe threat will be in place on Thursday.
