Well, this weekend is jam-packed with holidays and events, from Valentine's Day on Saturday to Presidents' Day on Monday...Mother Nature is getting a jump start on all the fun by brewing up a cross-country storm to literally rain on the Mardi Gras parades across the south.

A little rain won't stop Carnival in the streets of New Orleans this weekend, however it can put a damper on crowds. The wettest say looks to be Sunday but some parades later on Saturday may require poncho attire.

Rain-related interruptions could cause postponements and/or delays at Sunday's Daytona 500. Wet pavement would prevent racing as the track becomes too slick at high speeds.

Three days of severe storm potential kick off the weekend tonight.
