The severe weather ramps up on Saturday, as another potent wave will drop south, bringing the severe threat back to many of the same areas across the South. It has been a very busy day with numerous tornado reports from Texas to Mississippi and the local weather service offices will be busy surveying these areas. For the overnight, the severe threat continues from Alabama to the East Coast.
With the overnight threat, it is very important to have a couple of ways to receive alerts in case more severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings are issued. As the squall line advances east, a tornado could easily form so you need to be prepared.
Heavy rain on top of already saturated soils could lead to more flash flooding - never drive through flood waters.
