3.8 magnitude earthquake happened in Alabama Thursday morning

The United States Geological Survey said a 3.8 magnitude earthquake happened this morning near Pollard, Alabama. Pollard is near the Florida-Alabama state line. The earthquake happened around 10:07 CT and was around 4 km deep. Reports of light shaking happened as far away as Dothan, Alabama, over 100 miles away. No damage was reported to the USGS as of noon CT. According to the USGS this part of Alabama and Florida are part of the Bahamas Fracture Seismic Zone. This area includes east Mississippi near Meridian through southwest Alabama and part of the Florida panhandle. Let us know if you felt the earthquake!
