34 Tornadoes Confirmed From This Week’s Severe Weather Outbreak
At least 34 different tornadoes have been confirmed from Monday and Tuesday’s severe weather outbreak.
After several storm surveys were conducted by nine different National Weather Service offices, a total of 34 tornadoes were confirmed to have taken place from this week’s deadly tornado outbreak. That 34 tornado figure includes six EF-3s, eight EF-2s, 12 EF-1s and eight EF-0 tornadoes.
There may be additional tornadoes added to this week’s total in future surveys by the National Weather Service. That said, these tornado figures are likely close to the final total.
Three fatalities were confirmed from Monday’s tornadoes. Two people were killed in Lawrence County, Alabama by an EF-2 tornado, and one person was killed near DeRidder, Louisiana by an EF-3 twister.
