Appropriate action should be taken to ensure tender vegetation. Be prepared to protect sensitive outdoor vegetation as these conditions could kill crops and plants if left unprotected. Sensitive outdoor plants should be covered, brought indoors or otherwise protected.
Outdoor pets need adequate protection from the cold temperatures. Young children, the elderly and the homeless are especially vulnerable to the cold. Take measures to protect them. Cover unprotected outdoor plumbing.
