Parts of the south saw record breaking heat of Thursday as highs climbed to the 90s and 100s. Shreveport and New Orleans, LA both tied records for the day. Another day of heat is ahead for the south Friday; highs should fall just short of the record though in New Orleans and Shreveport with highs in the 90s, while parts of Texas hit the 100s!
