Another Update on Great Lakes Ice Coverage

According the most recent information from the Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory, the Great Lakes have a total ice coverage of 45.4%. At this same time during 2017, the Great Lakes had ice coverage of 8.7%. In 2016, the Great Lakes had ice coverage of 12.7%. By lake, Lake Erie has the most ice coverage at this point, with most of the lake covered in ice. Recent visible satellite image of ice on Lake Erie (GLERL).
