Residents in Cape Cod, MA are left cleaning up widespread tree and powerline damage from a tornado, Tuesday. The National Weather Service out of Boston confirms high end EF-1 damage based on a survey conducted Wednesday afternoon. Maximum wind speeds are estimated around 110 mph. The survey released by the NWS in Boston stated a waterspout moved onshore with wind gusting up to 90 mph at times and a roof of a motel was peeled off. No major injuries or fatalities were reported.

The tornado touched down in the Yarmouth area, lifted and touched down again in Harwich, MA on Cape Cod starting as a waterspout over the Cape. Straight-line wind damage was also extensive. The more widespread, intense damage in Barnstable County was reported in Harwich. About 30,000 customers were still without power Wednesday morning.
