Firefighters Rescue Dog From Icy River in Colorado

One dog’s misadventure had a happy outcome in Pueblo, Colorado, after he was rescued from the icy water of the Arkansas River on January 17. The ice rescue team of the Pueblo Fire Department came to the aid of the one-year-old German Shepherd and live streamed the rescue process. The department wrote in the comments underneath the video that Bill the dog was reunited with his owner on the shore. https://youtu.be/K99YoeTFYLw This video shows a member of the rescue team wade through the water with the dog in his arm. A second member of the team also gets in the water to assist, breaking the ice formations in the river and extending a pipe for the first rescue operator to take.
