Several towns in Kansas and Oklahoma are underwater today after heavy rain fell overnight. Hit hard was Augusta, Kansas where a flash flood emergency was in effect late Tuesday night. https://youtu.be/FcLSRTCnmUU Many Augusta schools were closed Wednesday morning due to the floods. Parts of Oklahoma were also overwhelmed by flooding on Tuesday. Reports of underwater cars were widespread along I-40. https://twitter.com/WeatherNation/status/1126153176824999937 Earlier in the day on Tuesday, towns near Houston were completely inundated. Flash flood watches and warnings remain in effect for many areas in Plains and Midwest as storms march eastward. We'll have all the details, right here at WeatherNation.
