WHAT TO EXPECT
We have seen rounds of rain these past few days in portions of the plains and south. Heavy rainfall brought record rainfall today once again. Shreveport, LA, saw a new record of 3.26" of rain on Monday, beating out the old record of 2.15". An active pattern has persisted in the Central and Southern Plains and extends into the Deep South. Repeat showers and storms will continue through Wednesday, heightening the flood threat. A Flood Watch remains in effect for parts of Texas, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, and Oklahoma into Tuesday morning.
TIMING
