Heavy rain continues to fall in portions of the Tennessee Valley, where soils are over-saturated by more than a half a foot of rain in the last week. Jackson, Tennessee has seen almost a foot of rain. Flash Flood Watches continue from western North Carolina to northern Alabama. By tomorrow evening, some areas could see an additional 3" to 6" of rain. A stalled front will begin to slowly push southward into the Deep South. Numerous showers and thunderstorms will occur along the front, some with heavy rain. This could produce additional flooding. For WeatherNation: Meteorologist Mace Michaels
