The same nor'easter and blast of cold air across the Midwest is pushing south and threatening early season crops and vegetation across the South. Freeze Warnings, Watches and Frost Advisories are in effect through much of the South thanks to an unusually sharp early season push of cold weather. The same system causing the major nor'easter is helping pull down colder air originating in southern Canada. Remember to cover up any tender vegetation or crops that could be threatened by the cold weather. Also remember to quickly get rid of any vegetation that is covered as it may rapidly heat back up under the sun's warmth. Temperatures will slowly moderate as the week wears on across the South, with readings returning to above normal levels by the end of the week and into the weekend.
