Heavy Rain and Flooding Risk for the South and Southeast

Heavy rain and flash flooding will be possible across the Southern U.S. into this weekend. A strong increase of moisture continues to build from the Gulf Coast into the Northeast.  This moisture be a major component in the risk of heavy rain.

Excessive Rain Outlook

The excessive rain outlook is showing a risk for flooding from Texas to the Great Smoky Mountains.

Rainfall Potential

The latest rainfall forecast has heavy rainfall anywhere from Texas through southern sections of the Appalachians.  Keep checking with WeatherNation for more updates the heavy rain threat.
