Additional rainfall is ahead in the southern Plains this weekend along a slow moving storm system. With areas of heavy rainfall likely, flooding will be possible. Flash Flood Watches extend from Arkansas to Texas. More than 6" of rain may fall into this weekend as showers and thunderstorms move through the region. A slow moving front coupled with high humidity streaming northward from the Gulf of Mexico will fuel the storms with heavy rain. Storms will track over areas that have already seen copious rainfall, which may lead to flooding. For WeatherNation: Meteorologist Mace Michaels
