The river of atmospheric moisture continues to impact the Northwest with heavy rain and mountain snow.  This weather patter will last for the next several days and that includes the upcoming weekend.

Rainy Weather Set Up

The water vapor imagery continues to show Pacific moisture stream into the Pacific Northwest.  Several weather disturbances will be working their way through over the next few days and should continue to develop scattered showers and mountain snow.

Rainfall Potential

Several inches of rainfall are possible, mainly in western Washington.  Some of this rain could lead to some flash flooding for parts of the Washing and Oregon. Western Washington, including Seattle, could see rain totals in excess of 3 inches through Sunday.  The one good thing I am seeing is that this rainfall will be spread out over several days.  That should help to limit the flooding threat, but with all the precipitation we have been dealing with over the last month we need to be aware of the flooding potential.
