A slow moving front dropping into the Southeast will produce several rounds of heavy rain through the week. Flash Flood Watches extend from Virginia to Georgia, including Charlotte and Atlanta. High humidity will stream northward along the front due to southerly winds from the Gulf of Mexico. With slow moving storms possible for several days, the added humidity will increase the flooding potential. Some areas may see more than 6" of rain this week. The front will push slowly southeastward today, before stalling tomorrow and barely moving Thursday. With a blocking high pressure center in the Atlantic Ocean, the threat for heavy rain may continue into this weekend. For WeatherNation: Meteorologist Mace Michaels
