Heavy snow continues to fall in the Upper Midwest and western Great Lakes as a storm system pushes through the region. Record snowfall accumulated in Billings, Montana on Monday with some areas seeing over a foot. 3" to 6" of snow was common, with more on the way this afternoon into Wednesday. Up to a foot is possible with lake enhanced snowfall near Lake Huron and Lake Michigan. Winter Storm Warnings remain in effect from Michigan to Iowa for more than 6" of additional accumulation. The low pressure center is moving through the Ohio Valley and will push into the eastern Great Lakes Wednesday morning. Heavy snow will fall from southern Minnesota to northern Lower Michigan. As the low shifts into Canada Wednesday afternoon, the accumulating snows will come to an end. For WeatherNation: Meteorologist Mace Michaels
