We're well on our way to winter but high temperatures will be soaring across the Western and Central United States to start the month of November. Upper-level ridging is expected to build across the Southwest this weekend before shifting slightly east into next week.

Record high temperatures are possible around Nevada and Arizona Saturday before record warmth targets the Front Range of Colorado on Sunday. A few record highs will be possible in Colorado and Texas into Monday and Tuesday.

Another ridge of high pressure will move in after a cut-off low moves through the Southwest. This low and the trailing ridge will lead to big swings in high temperatures for some, including Denver!

Temperatures look to stay warm through the middle of the upcoming week, with highs approaching the upper 80s in portions of Texas into Thursday and Friday.

Weekend temperatures in San Antonio will actually hover just below average before the next ridge moves in from the west, gradually increasing highs through Friday.
