Severe Storms for the Southern and Central High Plains Friday

Severe storms are back in the forecast today for areas of the Central and Southern High Plains.  Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas will have the highest chance for severe storms this afternoon and evening. Here is the very latest.

Severe Outlook

Isolated to numerous severe storms will be possible from western Texas to Montana this afternoon and evening.  Storms will be likely in these areas, but areas across the Plains will have the highest chance for severe storms.

Severe Risks

Large hail, damaging winds and tornadoes will all be possible today.  The tornado risk will be confined to areas of Kansas, Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle.  If you are in Hays, Kansas or Amarillo, Texas you will want to be prepared for a possible tornado.  Know your safe place and be ready to take cover is severe weather strikes.

Forecast
