Devastating storms ripped through the heartland again on Sunday. Fatalities have been reported along with multiple destroyed homes in the area. The same system that prompted those numerous tornadoes will slide east, but should lose some of its intensity.
The front will continue east on Monday, setting the stage for more severe storms. While the threat doesn't look nearly as intense as storms got on Father's Day, it could put many more at risk being such a wide-reaching area.
This is where the tornado threat could be slightly higher - closer to the surface low. However, ample cloud cover this morning should limit the amount of unstable air by this afternoon.

Damaging winds will be the thing to watch out for the most, but all modes of severe weather are possible.
Down the front into the Deep South, storms won't look as organized. But what they lack in organization might make up for in numbers. Numerous thunderstorms will be capable of strong winds, some hail, and an isolated tornado. Flooding looks to be the biggest overall threat, given the recent rains.
