ABOVE - According to Deer Valley in Utah, we've accumulated over 100 inches of snowfall. This recent batch has led to the Lift Operations Team having to shovel and snow-blow snow under the chairlift to keep it running! Some of Utah's ski resorts managed to pile up over two feet throughout this event.
As we head into peak ski season across the Tetons, Wasatch, Uinta's, and Rocky Mountains we're looking forward to some fresh powder for some ski resorts so if you've got a ski vacation planned in Utah, Colorado, or Wyoming this is the forecast for you! Winter weather alerts have been issued for the states of Utah, Colorado, and Wyoming through Wednesday night. Avalanche warnings are also in effect. Please use caution if you are heading up into higher terrain and remain on groomed/open slopes.
The snow and rain showers aren't over for us yet, but they are scattered now. Additional mountain snow is possible overnight, ending for the Wasatch by midnight and lingering in the Rockies through Thursday mid-morning. A few showers may make it as far south as the Denver metro, but accumulating snow is unlikely.
The best opportunity for seeing meaningful snow in Colorado will be along and south of I-70. Light snow may be possible south of the Denver metro through the north side of Colorado Springs.
