A low-pressure system developing east of the Rockies becomes attached to a stationary front, meaning it will stay put much of the week, leaving similar areas susceptible to the severe weather risk multiple days in a row. This comes after multiple severe warned storms in the Lone Star State on Monday and tonight.

Gulf moisture will continue running into a stalled frontal system on Tuesday across these areas to produce storms. We have seen severe warned storms today, and an isolated severe threat continues overnight. A few showers linger into early Wednesday morning with most of us drying out by midday Wednesday.
