Powerful storms pushed through Northern Louisiana early Saturday morning, producing wind gusts that damaged property. Unfortunately the severe storms killed several people in the Pelican State.

Some areas around Jackson, Mississippi also suffered storm damage. Flooding conditions also developed quickly after the line of strong storms pushed through the region.

A driver’s dash-cam captured the moment a crash occurred on the Turner Turnpike in Stroud, Oklahoma, on Friday, January 10. Storms moving across Oklahoma prompted multiple flood and severe weather alerts across several counties on Friday.

Strong storms moving across Kansas brought heavy rain and hail to some areas on January 10. This lead to neighborhood flooding in Wichita Friday afternoon. After the front moves through, temperatures will drop and precipitation could turn to freezing rain.
