Wind Alerts Stretch from New Mexico to Mississippi

As a powerful storm system moves across the nation, wind concerns are developing. Wind advisories and high wind warnings are in place from New Mexico to Mississippi. Wind alerts were issued from New Mexico to Mississippi for Saturday, February 24th, 2018. Across eastern Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi wind will be sustained at 25 to 40 mph, with gusts up to 50 mph. For New Mexico and northern Texas, wind will range from 30 to 40 mph, with gusts up to 70 mph. The wind across this region is also leading to a fire threat for today.
