A magical sight is coming to Manhattan tonight and tomorrow! As the sun sets, looks west on any of the east-west oriented thoroughfares in the city to see the sun perfectly fitting between the buildings! The phenomena is called Mannhattanhenge, and it comes around four times per year - tonight is the first night. We'll do it again tomorrow night, but the other two nights will be July 12-13.

During our journey around the sun, Earth's tilt towards (or away) from the sun changes. Two times a year, in late May and early to mid-July, the sun lines up to nestle between the towering skyscrapers in New York City. According to the American Museum of Natural History, "Unnoticed by many, the sunset point actually creeps day to day along the horizon: northward until the first day of summer, then returning southward until the first day of winter"
They have a lot more information about the event on their website: Manhattanhenge
July: not even a single clue but probably hot.
May: This wave of moisture pushing in is looking like it'll obscure the view Wednesday night.
Thursday, on the other hand, looks like a mix of sun and clouds, which shouldn't impede any viewing plans!
