A wave of energy moving into western Texas today will provide a chance for scattered showers and storms today.  During the peak heating this afternoon there could even be a few isolated severe storms.  Here is the latest severe forecast.

Severe Outlook

Widespread storms will be possible for western Texas with only an isolated area seeing severe.  This area will be the Big Bend region of Texas.

Severe Risks

If we see any severe weather it will likely be an isolated risk of large hail and damaging winds.  The risk will be very isolated for these areas, but it is still a risk to be aware of during the afternoon.

Forecast

Today's storms will likely fire-up during the peak heating hours this afternoon.  Once the sun sets, the risk of severe storms will go down and only a few strong storms will remain into early Tuesday morning.
