Are you finally ready for Fall in the southern Plains? After weeks of hot and dry conditions, a powerful front is dropping our temperatures this week. Today is by far our coldest day with highs only int he 40s for many. Temps start to climb back into the 50s by Tuesday and Wednesday but it will still be much below average this week. Make sure you incorporate a jacket into those Halloween costumes.

Another inch of rain will be possible in the Southern Plains and Mississippi River Valley with even some light icing in central Texas! The grounds are very saturated, especially in Arkansas and Texas and any additional heavy rain will lead to flooding. Northly winds pour in behind the front and although we will be dry for Halloween it will be very chilly!
