When will it end?? The severe threat marches on through tonight, with a few areas to focus on. Looking back at the month of May, it's been an especially active severe weather month.
The front responsible for multiple rounds of storms is still threatening us. This time, it's the East Coast that needs to monitor storms. While storms are already ongoing, it will be toward the early afternoon hours that they become severe. All threats will be on the table, but damaging winds appear to be more widespread threat.
The tail end of that front will try to focus some large hail producers in far south Texas. Another fast-moving impulse will rip through the Central Plains later today, which will stir up more hail, just at a different time. The storms in Missouri and Arkansas will favor the overnight hours, so make sure the car is parked in the garage tonight.
