Several states across the western United States are under Red Flag Warnings or Fire Weather Watches for the next few days. These alerts are in place due to breezy, warm and very dry weather conditions, which will support the spread of wildfires. In particular, temperatures across much of the alert areas are forecast to reach into the upper 70s and 80s, with wind gusting up to 45 miles per hour. The fire threat should subside at the latest by early next week as moisture is expected to move in the region. Tune into WeatherNation for the very latest on this and other stories from across the nation. For WeatherNation, I am Meteorologist Marcus Walter.
