Over 20" of snow fell in the higher elevations of Colorado. Lower elevations across the Denver metro also saw accumulating snowfall Wednesday morning totaling up to 4" in some isolated locations. Travel will not be as much of a worry for Thursday morning, although, temperatures are in the teens so be aware of the slick spots on the roadways. All winter alerts have expired but avalanche concerns do remain in effect through Thursday. If you are spending the holiday in the higher terrain, stay on the groomed trails for your safety.

Watch out for the cold start to Thanksgiving morning and refreezing of road conditions.
