Severe storms blew through the northeast Monday afternoon and evening, taking down multiple trees in western Pennsylvania. At one point, over 80,000 customers were without power in Allegheny County, where Pittsburgh is located, in western Pennsylvania. After multiple severe warned storms today, the loss of daytime heating has lessened the chance of severe storms. We now just see a general risk of a storm or two overnight, and most should be dry.
Another round of storms is ahead Thursday, and we have a marginal risk for strong storms for portions of NY, PA VT, NH, MA & ME. The severe threat will be isolated, but as the front comes through storms producing damaging winds and hail will be possible.
