On Monday afternoon a tornado touched down in Stuart, FL north of West Palm Beach on Florida's Atlantic Coastline. A weak frontal boundary lifting north along the peninsula provided the focus for the strong storms on Monday. Often times, these can enhance the spin of a storm in the lower levels.
Most of the country was concerned with wintry weather but leave it to Florida to keep severe weather close by! There was heavy rain in the region but just enough spin at the lower levels to produce a tornado!
