101 Open Again After Tuesday Storm Closed Portions

A portion of the 101 Freeway near Ventura, CA was shut down, amid flooding due to storm that left Southern California drenched on Tuesday.

“Caltrans has implemented a hard closure of all Highway 101 Southbound lanes at Seacliff due to mud and water. Traffic will be diverted onto Pacific Coast Highway to State Beaches onramp. Estimated closure is 4 hours. Northbound Highway 101 lanes are not impacted.”

The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning in the Solimar Fire burn area that was in effect Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

***Update***Cal-Trans has been working feverishly, and the US 101 Southbound at Dulah has been re-opened. Please take caution when driving through the area and slow down in the rainy conditions.
