7.1 Magnitude Earthquake Shakes Mexico

A 7.1 magnitude earthquake was recorded Tuesday afternoon in Central Mexico.


The earthquake collapsed buildings and knocked out power to many in Mexico City.

The U.S. Geological Survey said it was centered near Raboso, Mexico.

As of Tuesday afternoon, two people were said to have been killed in the State of Mexico, which surrounds the capital.
