More snow is moving through the Southwest this weekend, already having put down accumulating snow across the Golden State and the Sierra. Winter alerts including Blizzard Warnings have been issued in parts of Colorado and Northern New Mexico.
This weather system is a relatively quick-moving system, with snow pushing into the Four Corners through the overnight hours and Monday. By Monday morning, the commute across the Interstate 25 corridor could be very slippery so please exercise caution with the snow and gusty winds moving in.
Snowfall totals in the Four Corners region will vary based on elevation with the hardest hit mountain ranges expected to be the San Juans of SW Colorado and the Wasatch range of Utah. Generally, we anticipate 6"+ of snow for areas over 7,000' with snow of 2-6" for the foothills and lower elevations.
