Does it feel like every weekend in the Northeast has been rainy? Well unfortunately you would be correct; with the exception of Labor Day Weekend, every single weekend in September and October so far has featured measurable rainfall in New York City and other Northeast communities.
Many will be quieter through the day on Monday but temperatures will be chilly, only in the 50s and 60s this week. Northwesterly winds riding over the Great Lakes will continue to support a few spotty showers for western and northern New York.
Shower and storm chances taper over the next few days as the area of low pressure responsible for the wet weather moves away from the coast. However, as mentioned above, a few isolated lake enhanced showers will be possible for western NY, PA with generally cloudy conditions through the middle and end of the week.
